About VKK
The Insurance Rehabilitation Association of Finland
(VKK) was founded in 1964 as a joint service organization for
insurance companies specializing in accident, motor liability
and earnings-related pension insurance. VKK assists insurance
and pension companies with the planning of vocational rehabilitation
and in the practical implementation and standardization of their
rehabilitation services.
Working together with the rehabilitation client, the relevant
partners and the insurance companies, VKK plans both vocational
rehabilitation and rehabilitation for improving and sustaining
functional capacity. Rehabilitation counsellors at VKK are responsible
for guiding clients in all matters associated with their rehabilitation.
VKK develops rehabilitation services in cooperation with the
Finnish authorities, service providers and client associations
and promotes research, training and the dissemination of information
about rehabilitation. VKK members include the Finnish Motor Insurer’s
Centre, the Federation of Accident Insurance Institutions and
the Finnish Pension Alliance TELA.
